Our eighth collective commenced in November 2017 with the purchase of 16-18 Clarendon Street Thornbury.

The property is approximately 675 sqm measuring 18m wide and 36m deep and is ideal for development as it is a corner site with ROW access to the south. It also features a lapsed planning permit (2014) for 11 apartments over 3 levels with 15 car spaces via a basement.

Our  strategy was to develop 7 x 3-bed and 2-bath and 1 car townhouses of around 115-130 sqm of Gross Floor Area over 3 levels.

Post purchase the 6 members of the collective decided to pursue a 6 dwelling scheme to ensure that the sizes of their homes were slightly larger. We are keen to explore how we can activate the street frontages particularly to Armadale St as it is a one way street and the intention is for these dwellings to enjoy ground floor living.

We have finished advertising, Council have indicated they are supportive of our design and are waiting for our Notice of Decision.
