RMIT video: Tim Riley from Property Collectives talks deliberative development

Since 2015 Dr Andrea Sharam has been working to promote the efficacy of deliberative development models in delivering higher quality, more affordable homes to the market.

Andrea is a national housing expert and researcher with a particular interest in non-speculative housing models (such as deliberative development, land trusts, cooperatives, non-profit housing and community housing).

Andrea approached us in late 2019 to help bring the concept of deliberative development to life as part of a series of educational videos on the apartment market.

In this short video, Dan Demant from Six Degrees Architects and myself discuss our Saint George Collective townhouse project in Northcote as well as the benefits and challenges inherent in the deliberative development model.
