In 2017 our fourth Collective formed with the purchase of 11-17 Ireland Street West Melbourne, a 409m2 site with a north-east frontage, laneway access to the south and east and around 100m from North Melbourne station.

The collective built 7 x four & five storey 3 bedroom townhouses. The design features two floors of bedrooms and two floors of living with a separate kitchen/dining and living spaces and individual garages on ground.

The irregularly shaped lot in a tight inner city location presented the biggest design challenge with this project, not only from a planning perspective, given overshadowing issues with the neighbours on Hawwke St, but also with the build given the amount of land available to manage the build.

Despite the challenges the end result is one the owners are all very proud of thanks to our documenting architects DKO Architecture and builder partner Better Living Group.
