Moreland City Council: Good Medium Density Design Session Tuesday December 4
We have been asked to deliver a presentation on design-led development at the Good Medium Density Design workshop on Tuesday December 4th from 12 - 4pm at the Master Builders Association offices in East Melbourne.
Moreland City Council recently completed a Medium Density Housing Review investigating the quality of townhouse and unit development within Moreland and making recommendations on how it could be improved.
An outcome of this review has been the development of new draft Good Design Advice Sheets, a Design Excellence Scorecard and Online Tree Selection Tool.
To generate industry feedback, Council is hosting The Moreland Design Sessions, a series of industry-based workshops that focus on how to improve medium density residential developments in Moreland.
To be honest I feel quite honoured (and a little nervous) to be asked to present on "good" medium density design. It's nice to be recognised for what we have been trying to do since we started our journey. I'll be discussing some of the key factors I feel puts our deliberative development model in a better position than most speculative developers to invest in quality design and built form outcomes.
Places at the lunch are limited and you can book your spot here.
